I have an older GE range and my switch failed. This switch is NOT a direct substitute as mine and any replacements are now obsolete. I ordered this switch because of voltage/current specifications and had to change the shaft with the original switch so the knob fit the shaft. 100% perfect now. If you can order knob to fit this switch, it is a perfect fit. Otherwise change the front piece and shaft from your original switch. It is easy to swap original shaft by just popping the two tabs that hold the front metal plate in place. A slight tap with a screw driver and hammer to seat the tabs after the change are all that is needed.
